SuperTrader Platform

How can I use the different areas on the FxPro SuperTrader platform?

FxPro SuperTrader features various areas that enable you to monitor your actions and overall performance. These are the Overview Page, the Portfolio Page, the Strategies Page, and the Watchlist Page. Beneath these tabs you have access to a menu bar displaying general account information including your equity, free equity, unrealised profit and loss, realised profit and loss, fees, total profit and loss, net of fees, actual leverage, and utilised leverage.

How can I use the Overview Page?

The SuperTrader Overview Page contains information regarding your overall personal performance and the top-performing strategies.

The Overview Page is split into four main sections as follows:

Portfolio: displays the aggregated portfolio performance, including FX Alerts and price ticker
Copied Strategies: displays your top five performing strategies
Watchlist: displays the top three items in your Watchlist
Strategies Page: displays the top three SuperTrader strategies at intraday, 7-day, 30-day, and Since Started durations.

How can I use the Strategies Page?

The Strategies Page displays a list of all available strategies that are copied or can be copied. The table displays individual aggregated performance percentages such as intraday, 30-day and Since Started performance, which are automatically updated every minute.

What do I need to know about the Strategy Details pages?

Each Strategy Details page provides real-time information on both personal performance and strategy provider performance of the strategy in question. It features performance statistics which change according to where you view the page from. For example, viewing a strategy’s Details Page from your portfolio will provide you with the strategy’s performance following the application of your own risk management controls.

Each Strategy Details Page gives you access to:
Aggregated performance graphs (intraday, 7-day, 30-day, Since Started graphs), open positions and trade history with the ability to filter results.
A description of the strategy along with the type of trading it performs and copier statistics. You have the ability to copy or add the strategy to your Watchlist.

What do the top menu bar statistics represent?

The top menu bar displays information relating to the following:

Equity: The amount of money that you have in your SuperTrader account.

Free Equity: The amount of money in your SuperTrader account that is available and can be allocated to strategies.
Unrealised P/L: The profits and losses resulting from all open positions of the strategies that you have copied.
Realised P/L: The total profits and losses from the day the account was created.

Actual Leverage: A measure of how many times the value of your equity is exceeded by your open positions.

Featured Site

Utilised Leverage: A measure of how much of your permitted leverage (%) you are currently using.

How do you select the best-performing SuperTrader strategies featured on the Overview Page?

SuperTrader strategies are selected purely on performance, which is automatically updated every minute. The daily, weekly and all-time top three strategies are displayed on the Overview Page, as are the strategies with the overall highest performance percentage.

Performance percentages are calculated as follows: (current period equity – starting period equity) / starting period equity.

For example, if current period equity is $15,000 and starting period equity was $10,000, the performance percentage would be 50% [(15,000 – 10,000) / 10,000=50%].

What are strategy ratings based on?

The rating of each strategy is an average of all the scores that individual investors have given it.

How can I rate a strategy provider?

You can rate a strategy provider once you copy their strategy by giving a rating between 1-5 stars on the Strategy Details page.

Are there any informational/educational resources that I can use?

Yes. As an FxPro SuperTrader client you have access to the following resources:

Comprehensive performance statistics for your portfolio and leaders’ portfolios
FX Alerts

Articles

Accounts Funding

What currencies are available for my FxPro SuperTrader account?

FxPro SuperTrader accounts are currently available in the three following currencies: USD, EUR, and GBP.

How do I fund my SuperTrader account?

You can fund your SuperTrader account via your FxPro Vault, by transferring funds from the Vault to your account using the “Manage FxPro Vault” button in FxPro Direct (direct.fxpro.com if you are under CySEC, or direct.fxpro.co.uk if you are under FCA).

How much can I transfer into my SuperTrader account?

You can transfer funds to your SuperTrader account at any time, without any limits to the amount you transfer.
There is, however, a minimum first-time deposit requirement of $10,000. The FxPro SuperTrader Credit Line enables you to deposit as little as $2,000 and use a credit multiplier of 4 to reach the necessary capital required.

What leverage is available for my SuperTrader account?

The maximum available leverage for SuperTrader accounts is fixed at 1:200.

Credit Line

What is the FxPro SuperTrader Credit Line?

The FxPro SuperTrader Credit Line is a service we offer to our SuperTrader clients in order to help them meet the capitalisation requirement of $10,000, without having to deposit the full amount.

The Credit Line is not a bonus, but a credit multiplier (of up to 4x). This means that you can deposit as little as $2,000 and use the credit multiplier to reach the minimum investment amount. For example:

$2,000 X 4 (max multiplier)=$8,000 + $2,000 (initial investment)=$10,000.

Are there any risks involved in using a credit line?

Clients should be aware that using a Credit Line may increase your potential losses just as it may increase your potential profits. Please be advised that all losses apply to your own initial investment amount and not to the Credit Line supplied by FxPro.

While the use of a Credit Line allows you to continue allocating funds to strategies as your own equity diminishes, your portfolio remains open to margin calls should your equity fall to a level that can no longer guarantee your open positions. You will receive a margin call once your equity (minus the multiplier) drops to 6% of the credit amount. If your equity continues to drop to 3% of the credit line, your copied strategies will be automatically stopped and your portfolio will be locked.

What documents are needed to apply for a credit line?

None. The documents needed to apply for a Credit Line are the same as the ones needed to open a SuperTrader account. There is therefore no need for you to send any additional documentation if you have already been approved for a SuperTrader account.

How long does it take to be approved for a credit line?

You will have access to your Credit Line from FxPro Direct (direct.fxpro.com if you are under CySEC, or direct.fxpro.co.uk if you are under FCA) as soon as your SuperTrader account is approved. Visit the “Manage Funds” area of FxPro Direct to apply a credit multiplier to the amount you transfer from your FxPro Vault to your SuperTrader account.

What does “Free Amount” represent in terms of the Credit Line?

“Free Amount” is the portion of your equity that you are able to withdraw. It is the amount(s) you have deposited, plus or minus any realised profits or losses that have resulted from your investments.

The unrealised profits and/or losses resulting from currently open positions are not included in the “Free Amount” and are calculated once these positions have been closed.

How do I change my credit multiplier?

You may change your credit multiplier when you make a new transfer between your FxPro Vault and your SuperTrader account. To do so, select a new multiplier from the “Manage Funds” area of FxPro Direct (direct.fxpro.com if you are under CySEC, or direct.fxpro.co.uk if you are under FCA).

Please be advised that in order for you change your credit multiplier, all open positions and strategies must first be closed. You will be asked to authorise this action as you make the transfer of funds via FxPro Direct (direct.fxpro.com if you are under CySEC, or direct.fxpro.co.uk if you are under FCA).

How do I withdraw my profits and initial deposit?

You may withdraw your profits and initial deposit from the “Manage Funds” area of FxPro Direct (direct.fxpro.com if you are under CySEC, or direct.fxpro.co.uk if you are under FCA).

Please be advised that if you wish to withdraw more than the amount equal to your profits, you must withdraw the entire Free Amount (See What does “Free Amount” represent in terms of the Credit Line?]. For example, if your initial investment was $10,000 and you made $2,000 profit, you can withdraw any amount up to $2,000 or the entire $12,000.

How does the credit line affect subsequent deposits?

You will be given the option to use a credit multiplier every time you transfer funds from your FxPro Vault to your FxPro SuperTrader account.

Please be advised, however, that in order for you to change your credit multiplier, all open positions and strategies must first be closed. You will be asked to authorise this action as you make the transfer of funds via FxPro Direct (direct.fxpro.com if you are under CySEC, or direct.fxpro.co.uk if you are under FCA). Choosing to change your credit multiplier and to close all your open positions and strategies will result in your positions being automatically liquidated at the prevailing market price. Your new balance will then be reflected on the platform.

Your existing copied strategies will not be affected if you choose to transfer funds from your FxPro Vault to your SuperTrader account without using a credit multiplier (i.e. credit multiplier of 0).

Can I refrain from using a credit multiplier when making subsequent deposits?

You are not obliged to use a credit multiplier if you meet the minimum account balance requirement of $10,000.

Can I receive a margin call when using SuperTrader?

You can receive a margin call when using a credit multiplier. This is because using credit allows you to command larger investments than your own capital will allow. You will receive a margin call once your equity (minus the multiplier) drops to 6% of the credit amount. So if you have 10k of your own capital and a 20k credit line (multiplier of 2) you will receive a margin call when your equity drops to 1200 (6% of 20k = 1200). If your equity continues to drop and reaches 3% of the credit line, in this case to 600 (3% of 20k = 600), your copied strategies will automatically be stopped and your portfolio locked.

Can I use the platform without depositing the full amount?

Yes you can, in order to make SuperTrader more accessible we now offer a credit line that effectively multiplies the value of your initial investment by up to 4 times (e.g. $2000 x 4 (max multiplier) = $8000 + $2000 (initial investment) = $10000). Clients can deposit $2000 and use a credit multiplier of 1 to meet the minimum investment amount of $2000.

How much does it cost to use your credit line?

Our interest-free credit line is offered entirely free of charge.

What if I don’t want to use a credit multiplier when making a subsequent deposit?

As long as you have met the minimum account balance requirement of $2000 you are not obligated to use the credit multiplier when you make deposits. However, open positions and strategies are not affected when you are transferring funds.

Copying a Strategy

How do I copy a strategy?

You can copy a strategy in one of the following ways:

Via the Strategies Page, which displays a list of all the types of strategy providers
Via the Watchlist on the Overview Page
Via the top performers list on the Overview Page
Via a Strategy Details page, which displays details about a specific strategy
Available buttons including the ‘Copy’, ‘Stop Copy’, ‘+’, ‘-’ buttons can be used to select your copy settings. When you copy a strategy, a notification message appears that confirms your action.

When you copy a strategy, you are also asked to choose the amount of funds you wish to allocate to it from your SuperTrader account. Once the strategy begins trading, all relevant areas of the platform will be updated to reflect your investment. This enables all users to see how much is currently invested with a specific leader.

You will also need to specify your personal risk management parameters, to which the strategy will have to adhere. These include:

The amount of money you would like to allocate to the strategy
The maximum loss percentage before a trade is automatically closed
Whether or not you would like to multiply the strategy’s default investment amount (Ratio Multiplier currently allows up to 4X multiplication)
The percentage of your equity at which you would like a trailing stop applied

What are the minimum and maximum amounts that I can copy a strategy with?

The minimum amount you can copy a strategy with is $500. There is no maximum amount you can allocate to a strategy.

What kind of copy settings are available and how can I set them?

The copy settings for a strategy are the following:
Amount allocation in USD
Strategy Max Loss percentage
Ratio Multiplier
Trailing Stop (Equity) percentage
Profit trigger point
All copy settings are configurable. Trailing Stop percentage, Strategy Max Loss percentage and Profit trigger point can be edited at any time.

When copying a strategy, you are given the option to automatically copy all the positions that the leader currently has open via a tick box. If you leave this box unchecked, your portfolio will only copy the positions that the leader opens in the future, starting from the time you started copying the strategy in question.

How many lots are opened when a strategy that I copy opens a trade?

The number of lots that are opened when a strategy that you copy opens a trade is determined by the ratio between your allocated equity and the leader’s equity. For example:

You allocate $5,000 to a strategy and choose a multiplier of 1. The leader’s equity is $10,000. If the leader opens a trade of 3 lots, you will open a trade with 1.5 lots [(5,000/10,000) X 1 (multiplier) X 3 (number of leader lots)=1.5]

Featured Site

Can I close an individual position of a strategy that I am copying?

Yes. You can manually close an open position via the ‘Open Positions’ area of the Portfolio Page. You may also close individual positions from the ‘Open Positions’ area found in each Strategy Details page. Once closed, a position will be reflected on the trade history table.

How can I stop copying a strategy?

You can stop copying a strategy in one of the following ways:

Click on the minus ‘-’ symbol belonging to the strategy in the Strategies Page
Click the minus ‘-’ symbol belonging to the strategy in the ‘Copied Strategies’ area on the Portfolio Page
Click ‘Stop’ on the tile belonging to the strategy in the ‘Strategies Overview’ section on the Overview Page
Click ‘Stop Copying’ in the top right-hand corner on the Strategy Details page

Once you stop copying a strategy, all currently open positions related to this strategy will be closed and all available allocated funds related to the strategy will be automatically transferred to your portfolio. The strategy will be archived and will no longer be part of your portfolio performance. You do have the ability to re-copy the strategy at any time.

Please note that when you choose to stop copying a strategy, a notification message will appear to confirm your action.

Your Portfolio

How often are strategy and portfolio performance data updated?

What is the difference between my performance statistics and a leader’s performance statistics?

To view your personal performance, click on the strategy of your choice on the Portfolio Page. To view the leader’s performance, click on their strategy on the Strategies Page.

What do the different performance graphs in my Portfolio Page represent?
