What is the FxPro SuperTrader Credit Line?

The FxPro SuperTrader Credit Line is a service we offer to our SuperTrader clients in order to help them meet the capitalisation requirement of $10,000, without having to deposit the full amount.

The Credit Line is not a bonus, but a credit multiplier (of up to 4x). This means that you can deposit as little as $2,000 and use the credit multiplier to reach the minimum investment amount. For example:

$2,000 X 4 (max multiplier)=$8,000 + $2,000 (initial investment)=$10,000.

Are there any risks involved in using a credit line?

Clients should be aware that using a Credit Line may increase your potential losses just as it may increase your potential profits. Please be advised that all losses apply to your own initial investment amount and not to the Credit Line supplied by FxPro.

While the use of a Credit Line allows you to continue allocating funds to strategies as your own equity diminishes, your portfolio remains open to margin calls should your equity fall to a level that can no longer guarantee your open positions. You will receive a margin call once your equity (minus the multiplier) drops to 6% of the credit amount. If your equity continues to drop to 3% of the credit line, your copied strategies will be automatically stopped and your portfolio will be locked.

What documents are needed to apply for a credit line?

None. The documents needed to apply for a Credit Line are the same as the ones needed to open a SuperTrader account. There is therefore no need for you to send any additional documentation if you have already been approved for a SuperTrader account.

How long does it take to be approved for a credit line?

You will have access to your Credit Line from FxPro Direct (direct.fxpro.com if you are under CySEC, or direct.fxpro.co.uk if you are under FCA) as soon as your SuperTrader account is approved. Visit the “Manage Funds” area of FxPro Direct to apply a credit multiplier to the amount you transfer from your FxPro Vault to your SuperTrader account.

What does “Free Amount” represent in terms of the Credit Line?

“Free Amount” is the portion of your equity that you are able to withdraw. It is the amount(s) you have deposited, plus or minus any realised profits or losses that have resulted from your investments.

The unrealised profits and/or losses resulting from currently open positions are not included in the “Free Amount” and are calculated once these positions have been closed.

How do I change my credit multiplier?

You may change your credit multiplier when you make a new transfer between your FxPro Vault and your SuperTrader account. To do so, select a new multiplier from the “Manage Funds” area of FxPro Direct (direct.fxpro.com if you are under CySEC, or direct.fxpro.co.uk if you are under FCA).

Please be advised that in order for you change your credit multiplier, all open positions and strategies must first be closed. You will be asked to authorise this action as you make the transfer of funds via FxPro Direct (direct.fxpro.com if you are under CySEC, or direct.fxpro.co.uk if you are under FCA).

How do I withdraw my profits and initial deposit?

You may withdraw your profits and initial deposit from the “Manage Funds” area of FxPro Direct (direct.fxpro.com if you are under CySEC, or direct.fxpro.co.uk if you are under FCA).

Please be advised that if you wish to withdraw more than the amount equal to your profits, you must withdraw the entire Free Amount (See What does “Free Amount” represent in terms of the Credit Line?]. For example, if your initial investment was $10,000 and you made $2,000 profit, you can withdraw any amount up to $2,000 or the entire $12,000.

How does the credit line affect subsequent deposits?

You will be given the option to use a credit multiplier every time you transfer funds from your FxPro Vault to your FxPro SuperTrader account.

Please be advised, however, that in order for you to change your credit multiplier, all open positions and strategies must first be closed. You will be asked to authorise this action as you make the transfer of funds via FxPro Direct (direct.fxpro.com if you are under CySEC, or direct.fxpro.co.uk if you are under FCA). Choosing to change your credit multiplier and to close all your open positions and strategies will result in your positions being automatically liquidated at the prevailing market price. Your new balance will then be reflected on the platform.

Your existing copied strategies will not be affected if you choose to transfer funds from your FxPro Vault to your SuperTrader account without using a credit multiplier (i.e. credit multiplier of 0).

Can I refrain from using a credit multiplier when making subsequent deposits?

You are not obliged to use a credit multiplier if you meet the minimum account balance requirement of $10,000.

Can I receive a margin call when using SuperTrader?

You can receive a margin call when using a credit multiplier. This is because using credit allows you to command larger investments than your own capital will allow. You will receive a margin call once your equity (minus the multiplier) drops to 6% of the credit amount. So if you have 10k of your own capital and a 20k credit line (multiplier of 2) you will receive a margin call when your equity drops to 1200 (6% of 20k = 1200). If your equity continues to drop and reaches 3% of the credit line, in this case to 600 (3% of 20k = 600), your copied strategies will automatically be stopped and your portfolio locked.

Can I use the platform without depositing the full amount?

Yes you can, in order to make SuperTrader more accessible we now offer a credit line that effectively multiplies the value of your initial investment by up to 4 times (e.g. $2000 x 4 (max multiplier) = $8000 + $2000 (initial investment) = $10000). Clients can deposit $2000 and use a credit multiplier of 1 to meet the minimum investment amount of $2000.

How much does it cost to use your credit line?

Our interest-free credit line is offered entirely free of charge.

What if I don’t want to use a credit multiplier when making a subsequent deposit?

As long as you have met the minimum account balance requirement of $2000 you are not obligated to use the credit multiplier when you make deposits. However, open positions and strategies are not affected when you are transferring funds.
